…they had it coming
Craving a new challenge, I took up live music shooting in 2023, keen to explore what I could do with cheap black and white film at various gigs around London.
Since then, the NU jam Sessions have become my regular haunt as a music photographer but I continue to creep around sporadic gigs with my Canon AE-1 Program and temperamental plastic Lomography flash.
Some of the gigs I shoot earn me a few £££ for photography supplies but I shoot most of them for the pleasure of shooting and stress testing my style.
Every image below was shot on film, covering gigs and promos of musicians and theatre performers around London.
